Dificultades para normalización ortográfica y problemas de escritura entre los cabécares de Chirripó

Abstract

This paper presents an evaluation of the command of the practical orthography of Cabecar by native speakers of this language who reside in Alto Chirripó. It aims to analyze the main problems and errors that speakers of this region make when they write in their mother tongue. It is concluded that writing is not a useful communication medium in this area because a large number of orthographic inconsistencies render it unfunctional.
