Abstract

According to Guatuso traditional religion, before deciding to eliminate the first mankind due to its wicked behaviour by means of a cataclysm, the master of the Gods tried in different ways to persuade the people to give up such conduct. One of the resources he used was to send four envoys to warn them about what would happen if the same kept going on. The purpouse of this article is to make available two texts dealing with this up to now unknown motive of Guatuso oral literature.
