Abstract

This article provides a lexicostatistics analysis for the Isthmian branch languages of the Chibchan family, in order to establish the Naso genetic relationships within this cluster. In this comparison, the Holgan et al. (2008)’s word list is employed. Results show Naso to be more closely related to the Viceitic group of languages (Bribri and Cabécar), and, to some extend, to Dorasque and Movere.
