La leyenda del sisimite en lengua pech

Abstract

This article presents, describes and transcribes one Pech (also written Pesh or Paya) traditional tale, about a mythologycal figure called Sisimite or Sisimique, which was compiled by the author in Autumn 2013, as part of a research project where traditional Pech tales are being gathered and analysed. Furthermore, it aims to contribute to the knowledge of the Pech traditional tales. The tale comes from Rosalío Duarte Villalobo, principal linguistic consultant in the research project about the Pech language.
