LA REGIONALIZACIÓN DE LA UNIVERSIDAD DE COSTA RICA. Una Propuesta para Avanzar

Abstract

The University of Costa Rica started the regional process of the superior education at the end of the 60s. At that moment there was an institutional effort directed to contribute with the creation of a new, more righteous society. The adjustements in the curricula had as background the Central American process of industrialization and integration. Nowdays the institution should reconsider its work bearing in mind the globalizing tendencies of the contemporary society if it wishes to overcome the hopelessness that seems to dominate this last part of the century.
