Abstract

This article analysis a theme thar been taking place in the nineties about superior education in America Latina. It is due to the influence of the Wold Bank challenges. In addition, it will be related the responses that other countries give especially in Costa Rica. It ends analysing the posibilities of the State universities to confront the goals that will demand the new century.
