Abstract
Three hundred years ago Juana Inés de Ia Cruz, an excepcional Mexican woman died. We hardily know her name, a poem and the fact she was a nun; but her struggle from a convent to achieve herself as a real human being in a "macho" society is unknown by the public. From this paper we can learn unhether the convent bars and celibacy or singleness were tbe only possibilities for a native Mexican woman to become herserlf, a full woman.
