Abstract

This article presents and analyses the "costarrican Economical Policy-1 (PEC-1)", elaborated by costarrican labour unions, as an alternative against Structural Adjustment Policies applied in this country. The author comes to the conclusion that PEC constitutes more an opposition than an alternative to adjusmnet policies.
