Abstract
This work formulates some hypotheses of a theoretical-methodological nature, in order to encourage a discussion aimed at the transactions estableshed between the religious field and other fields of activity. The social transaction is interest to analyze the action of the bishops of the Catholic Church in Nicaragua, In April 1984. This ecclesiastical body issues a Pastoral Letter that causes diverse reactions in different sectors of Nicaraguan population. The Catholic Hierarchy is considered as a collective actor belonging to the religious field; to achieve its reproduction it must enter into interaction with actors from other fields of activity.
