Abstract
This article analyses the regionalization effects on internal stratification of the University of Costa Rica.
Results reveal that to Regional Headquaters enter the bighest number of students from lower of the social scale, while at Rodrigo Facio Headquater enter the middle and hugh classes. This finding suggests that regionalization permited democratize access to superior education but not offering the same conditions to Regional Headquaters, regarding options and academical degress acute internal stratification of the institution as a whole.
